Congratulations to Destinys Child reject Michelle Williams, she just copped a gig on Broadway playing the role of Shug Avery, a sexy blues singer in the Chicago production of The Color Purple. The hit Broadway musical opens in the Windy City on April 17.
Also in this play are American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino and Season 3 Finalist LaToya London.
I'm all for Michelle playing this role, but must we not forget 106&Park...
