Denzel Loves His Black Women.

Denzel Washington once turned down a love scene with Julia Roberts out
of loyalty to his female African-American fans, Allison Samuels
reveals in her new book, "Off the Record" (Amistad).

Washington explained: "Black women are not often seen as objects of desire
on film. And they have always been my core audience."

The Oscar winner also said he turned down the starring role in "Love
Field" with Michelle Pfeiffer because of the N-word. "It was n— this and n—
that. I wasn't going to be but so many n—s in a film."

Thank you Denzel, not only is that a GREAT personal move but a huge business move. Since his core audience is black woman he doesn't want to bite the hands that feed him. He needs to teach this class to Taye Diggs.

I knew there was a reason why I loved this man.

Wow that's great.

I heart Denzel. I hear him...I don't care if it's for a film or not...I would not want to be repeated called a n!@#* either. If only other black celebrities would follow his example.

I respect Denzel now even more.

Taye who???????

Ain't nothing like a sista.

A good actor/actress is a good actor/actress regardless of their color. If you only choose to watch them because of their color, that is simply retarded. I am a white/asian mix and I think Taye Diggs is fine as hell and I don't care who his co-stars or wife is. I am going to watch that man. I have been told I have the best of both worlds and I completely support people with diversity even when they know they have to faces the challenges of the ignorant. Grow up people, get a life and love people for who they are not the color of their skin. There are other things in this world to be angry at like rapist and child molesters.

I wish there were more black men like him in the world Taye could definetly use some lessons from him.

MR. WASHINGTON IS ONE OF A SMALL GROUP OF MAN WHO NOT ONLY LOVE BUT RESPECT BLACK WOMAN. IN OUR DAY BLACK WOMEN ARE MADE TO BE LIKE THE CRAB IN ITS SHELL,ALONE &LONELY.EVERYONE LOVES AND WANTS THE BLACK MAN,AND EVERYONE WANTS TO BE WANTED,THEY SAY HOW MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL HIS MIX CHILDREN ARE THEN REGULAR BLACK CHILDREN. HOW MUCH MORE HELPFUL IT IS TO HAVE A WHITE OTHER THEN BLACK WOMAN BY HIS SIDE,AND MOST BELIEVE THAT IS TRUE,LOOK AT T.V,MOVIES,&MUSIC YOU SEE NO BLACK WOMEN OR GIRL BEING SHOWN.IN LATIN,WHITE,ASIAN VIDEOS,MOVIES,T.V SHOW.HOW MANY BLACK WOMEN DO YOU SEE IN THERE SHOWS,COMPARE TO OTHER THEN BLACK WOMEN BEING IN BLACK VIDEOS,MOVIE AND SO ON?
