'Studies of resumes have found that people with black-sounding names are less likely to get callbacks. "20/20" put 22 pairs of names to the test, posting identical resumes except for the names at the top. The resumes with the white-sounding names were actually downloaded 17 percent more often by job recruiters than the resumes with black-sounding names."

They also played a game with little children that required them to answer the question 'who would you most likely want to play with based on their name, Jake or Trevon?" of course the white children would choose to play with "Jake" over "Trevon"..
They also asked another white child,"based on the name which kid would be most likely to 'steal' a cookie, Molly or Shanice?Again, the kids said that Shanice would be more likely to steal a cookie just based on the name.
Damn skippy, Shanice would steal the cookie,and eat that mug right infront of you too! But seriously, I have a very eccentric name, I wonder how many times I've been passed over for an interview just based off of that. Sad.

In my case, I think people are shocked when a black woman shows up for the interview.
